US Open Fantasy Golf Promotions

The US Open is undeniably one of the biggest professional golf events to grace US soil on an annual basis. For those who play daily fantasy golf on either DraftStreet or DraftKings (see how), the US Open is also a time when promotions give you the chance to win boatloads of money without risking too much of your own.

In the following few sections I will briefly touch upon the US Open promotions currently featured on DraftStreet and DraftKings.

DraftKings-$300,000 Eagle’s Nest

1st place wins $100,000 – $200 Entry

The $300,000 Eagle’s Nest contest being offered by DraftKings from June 12th through June 15th boasts a top prize of $100,000 and can see members join via satellites for as little as $2. The contest is a salary cap draft where players pick their top six golfers without exceeding a $50,000 budget. Whoever has the six highest-scoring golfers by the end of the day on June 15th will win a clean $100,000. Even if you aren’t lucky enough to win the 6-figure top prize, you can rest assured knowing that the next 299 runner ups will also be paid out handsomely.

Satellites are running daily for as little as $2, but there are $5, $12, $22, and $27 satellites being offered as well. The direct buy-in for the contest is $200. The full payout structure, including the $100,000 top prize, is as follows:

The $300,000 Eagle’s Nest contest is joined by both the $20,000 Medium Eagle’s Nest as well as the $10,000 mini Eagle’s Nest competitions. The Medium Eagle’s Nest boasts a $20 buy-in and a $2,500 top prize (the top 225 teams are paid out). The Mini Eagle’s Nest has only a $2 buy-in and a top prize of $1,000 (the top 1,150 teams are paid out).

DraftKings-WSOP Main Event Satellite

Throughout the duration of the US Open and up until the beginning of July, DraftKings is offering satellites to their World Series of Poker Main Event Satellite competition. The winner of this competition will win a prize package valued at more than $12,000 that includes a $10,000 entry into the World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas, a 6 night stay at the Aria Hotel, access to the Main Event VIP Suite and Party, a DraftKings “swag bag”, and $1,000 for airfare.
You can buy into the event directly for $109, but satellites are being run daily up until July 1st for $2, $5, $12, $24, and $27.

Though the 1st place team wins the best prize, 2nd through 9th will also be paid out as follows:

DraftKings-PGA $15K Super High Roller

DraftKings is offering another US Open competition strictly for 15 high rollers. The contest will kick off on June 12th and features a buy-in of $1,060. A maximum of 15 teams will be entered into the competition that features a prize pool of $15,000.

Top prize will come in at $6,000 while 2nd will walk away with $4,000, 3rd with $3,000, and 4th with $2,000. To pay $1,000+ to simply enter a competition may seem like a lot, but you know what they say, with high risk comes high reward.

DraftStreet-US Open $100K Big Score

DraftStreet is offering a promotion running from June 12th-15th with a top prize of $20,000. The $100,000 Big Score being offered by DraftStreet is your way to win big during this year’s US Open. Joining the league directly will run you only $55, but you can qualify via satellites for as little as a few dollars.

This is salary cap competition in which you have $100,000 used to draft your top 6 golfers (so long as you can afford them). If you finish with the most points at the end of the three day contest you will find yourself walking away $20,000 richer.
We realize that not everyone can win $20,000, but it is comforting to know that the top 300 players will be paid. The payouts are as follows:

You can play in contests for as little as $0.25 up to the high-roller buy-ins. DraftKings has a $2 league with $10k GTD for the U.S. Open
