As far as sporting events are concerned, there are few more widely followed than the annual NCAA tournament. In addition to the tournament itself, the many conference tournaments that precede it are a spectacle in their own right.
March isn’t only for college basketball either, as the heating up NBA playoff race also draws a large amount of attention. Feeding off of the increased amount of basketball on the airwaves during March, Fan Duel is running a number of promotions that give you the chance to walk away with a large amount of cash. The basketball-related promotions being run by Fan Duel during March will be discussed in further detail below.
CBB Survive The Madness – March Madness FanDuel Promo
Another promotion being offered by Fan Duel this month is the CBB Survive the Madness $50,000 guaranteed fantasy basketball tournament. Starting on March 20th, a maximum of 550 players will square off in a ten day challenge with the possibility of walking home with $10,000.
The buy in for this tournament is $100, but as is often the case on Fan Duel, you can qualify through satellites for as little as $2.
The top 64 players will be paid, but the top 10 will walk away with the most money. The top 10 paid players, as well as their winnings, are as follows:
- 1st: $10,000
- 2nd: $5,000
- 3rd: $3,000
- 4th: $2,000
- 5th-10th: $1,000
Daily Fantasy Basketball Championship
March is home to much of the madness surrounding the NCAA tournament, but the tournament’s champion is not revealed until early in April. The same can be said about Fan Duel, who is hosting their championship of fantasy basketball on April 4th, just one day before the Final 4 games are played.
This one-day fantasy basketball challenge will feature a prize pool of $1.2 million and see the winner walk away with more than $100,000. Players can buy in to the one-day event for $200, or qualify via satellites for as little as $2.
The tournament will be capped at 6,689 total entries and individual players will be allowed to enter no more than 100 times.
The top 800 players will be paid a minimum of $500, though the top 11 will walk home with significantly more winnings than anyone else. The top 20 finishers, as well as their prize monies, are as follows:
- 1st: $120,000
- 2nd: $60,000
- 3rd : $30,000
- 4th: $15,000
- 5th : $10,000
- 6th : $8,000
- 7th-8th: $7,000
- 9th-11th : $6,000
- 12th-15th : $5,000
- 16th-20th: $4,000
$110K Wednesday NBA Super Slam
Fan Duel continues with the promotions this March by offering a $110,000 prize pool tournament every Wednesday. Players pick their best possible fantasy NBA team and compete to see who has the best squad.
There is a $25 entry fee, there is no limit on entries per player, and the top 500+ players will be paid. First place will be awarded $12,000, second place $7,000, and third place $4,000.
$15K NBA Rebound
The last basketball-related promo being run by Fan Duel this month is the daily $15k NBA rebound. The format works in the exact same fashion as the $110K Super Slam, with the exception that there is a new tournament every single night.
The entry fee for this nightly promotion is only $10 dollars and there is no limit on number of entries. The top 150+ players are typically paid, though the exact number corresponds to how many players actually enter the tournament. First, second, and third places are paid $2,000, $1,200, and $800 respectively.
