I’ll break them down real quick for you:

These different golf contests all have their own scoring. Let’s break them down and compare them real quick.
Draftkings Golf Scoring Guide
Here is a chart comparing the different golf games and the scoring. Always check the site itself for any changes or errors.
Types of Fantasy Golf Games
- Classic Golf – Contests last four days – Draft a team of 6 golfers before tee time Thursday morning and compete all four days of the tourney.
- Showdown Golf – One day contests – Draft a team and compete in that day’s round of golf. Showdown golf contests happen on every day with the final days round including points for tournament finish.
- Weekend Golf – Contests last two days and cover rounds 3 and 4. Essentially you draft a team after the cut is made and play the next two days.
- Match Play – Contests can last one to four days – the difference here is it is a per hole scoring and ‘holes won vs holes lost vs holes halved. Essentially so you can play fantasy golf when the tourney is match play format.
Scoring / Rules / Points and Notes
A couple of notes.
Weekend golf differs from Classic golf more than just the scoring on Double Eagles and Eagles. The streak bonuses are less and on weekend golf they do not include tourney finish results (oddly) in your score.
You are just trying to rack up the points by scoring par or better with your lineup.
Of course these players will naturally finish higher on the leaderboards so I’m a bit surprised the results are not included in the scoring in weekend style golf.
Showdown golf is one day golf contests. If you play the final round then you do earn points on the overall tourney finish position of your players.
The first three days do not award points for for current standings at the end of each round.
Your points earned and lost are also amp’ed up with 3x as many points for par’s and just under double for birdie.
You also get smacked hard for double bogeys so you want to avoid these as much as possible. Birdies worth nearly double and bogeys hurt your over 3x from classic.
In showdown golf it looks super important to avoid those players who are likely to encounter a higher percentage of bogey+ scores.
Good luck out there and we hope this updated 2018 guide to Draftkings Fantasy Golf helps you!
