Win a Million Dollars at Daily Fantasy Sports Basketball
DraftKings have announced their premier Basketball event, the Fantasy Basketball World Championship with an overall prize fund of $2 Million. Half of this amount will go to the winner, making this the first time that a $1 Million prize will be on offer at a daily fantasy sports basketball event. The finals weekend will take place in Las Vegas, the overall finals package being worth over $50,000.
Qualification the 2015 Fantasy Basketball World Championship
This event is open to just 40 players and there is no direct buy-in, meaning that the entire field will have to make it through a qualifying event. These qualifying events will very in cost and size and will be offered at regular, almost daily intervals until the entire field of 40 players is set. Current qualifiers being offered include buy-ins ranging from between $20 (where you’ll compete with over 3,000 other competitors for a place) and $5,300 (where just a dozen players will battle it out for a place in Vegas).
There are also satellite tournaments to these qualifiers, ranging from just $0.25 all the way up to $1,000. The $2 satellites are perhaps the most interesting for some players, as these events will be free for new players at the site when you make your first deposit. Winning a $2 satellite against 22 other players will give you tickets to 2 separate $20 qualifiers. What better way to way to start your DraftKings adventure by winning a million dollars for nothing!
